This article examines the book by Johnathan Last entitled "What To Expect When No One's Expecting". It covers what we as a population can do since less people are having children. It goes into detail about how the birth rate in America is declining. It also mentions that in "baby-friendly" France, without factoring in immigration rates, the birth rate is also decreasing. It also lists why the rate is declining world-wide, and some of those reasons being that parents are unlikely to start families while they are burdened by major student loan
debt. Being unable to get children around town means parents are
unlikely to raise big families. Being unable to live in affordable and safe neighborhoods and being unable to live in a
single family home shrinks family sizes as well.
