Education in India, as in most parts of the world, is increasing. Recently a meeting was held in New Delhi with British and Indian leaders to discuss ways to strengthen education within India. They have been aiming their focus towards education since they believe it is critical. Hopes and plans to enhance community colleges in India are the main focus. They are wanting to improve on teacher training courses as well as leadership programs. Since most of those in India that want to continue their education take courses at colleges in India as well as courses at the universities in the UK, a topic of discussion was how can they improve on this back-and-forth system.
Although efforts are being made towards improving, education in India appears to not be advancing as quickly as most would like. Instead of the leaders focusing on transporting students to different universities, in India and the UK, perhaps the finances should be put to better use within India. If money was spent on enhancing the programs within the colleges already in India there would be no need to transport them to the UK for additional courses. This method would likely weaken some of the linkage between India and the UK, but it has promise to enhance education in India further, because the time and money spent on getting students to other universities would be spent on success efforts for the students themselves.
