Upon doing a little research to find an article, I realized that, while families are global, there aren't a ton of articles about them. I was able to find an article about immigration rights for families. In this article The Human Rights Watch, a group dedicated to preserving human rights, argues that emphasis should be placed less on enforcement and more on keeping illegal families united. The article also describes President Obama's Immigrant Reform policy and highlights what they think are the good and bad parts of it, and what changes that they would make to it. The article goes on to outline what they consider to be the four principles that should guide immigrant reform, and three of the four principles involve the family as top priority, be it respecting and protecting families, developing a legalization process that respects families, and protecting immigrants and families from workplace violence and crime.
