Syrian Families Forced to Cross Border Into Lebanon
In this video article, it tells us
about how families in Syria are running for their lives everyday of the week.
On the border of Syria and Lebanon there is an average of 5,000 people,
including children and the elderly, on the search for safe shelter. Some
families have gone to the extent of living in abandoned jails where there is no
heat, bare floors, and a lot of anxiety not knowing when their lives will be
taken. These families were leaving Syria because of the mass killings, dead
bodies, and planes dropping bombs, anything that could be possible in a war.
Families incomplete because they had to leave their father or brother back in
Syria just so they could be safe.
This video
is very heart breaking to see these families go through such tragedy. On the
brighter side, there is hope. In the video, it does state that a charity called
Save The Children is doing what they can. They have set up schools near the
refuges in order for the children to be productive and also take their mind off
of everything that they have encountered. We as a nation could come in and help
them. Save the Children and Doctors without Borders are accepting donations. It
is said that $20 can help 47 children with vaccinations against diseases like
measles. Also a donation of $20 can get a number of children education packs,
which consist of pencils, paper, crayons, and markers. All the necessities these
children need to further their education.
