Of the many global factors that impact societies and cultures, human health and disease processes are some of the most profound. Although we have made enormous advances in sanitation and medical care in developed countries, poorer nations and regions lag far behind in many cases. I would like to examine these inequalities in more detail. Also, I am particularly interested in the dynamics of human involvement within ecosystems and how these affect global health trends.
