Education Reforms

When discussing the issues on education, you also have to focus some attention on the issue that regard teachers. Teachers are a main ones that impact children's’ lives. Without teachers there would not be an education system. You have to have someone getting the knowledge and skills across to younger generations. It is no secret that teachers are underpaid, and teachers are not in this profession for the money, but what would happen to the educational system when more budget cuts occur due to the proposed educational reforms.
Public school teachers are among the lowest paid professionals. Yet many argue that they do more work than other professionals. If you cut their pay more many teachers will have to find jobs in other professions in order to make a living wage. If this happens what will then happen to education systems. Students will have to be in more crowded classrooms, which we know has a negative correlation with their academic success. Teachers will have no choice but to follow direct instruction because there are too many students in one class to encourage transformational learning.
It is already said that generations that are in school now are not learning anything because of the increase in standardized tests. If you add to that poor educational environments due to lack of teachers then generations to come will not have the knowledge and skills to succeed. Education reforms are on the path of good changes, but the big picture need to be taken into account before something that it thought to be a good change backfires.
