Blog 1: Man Hijacks a Car with a Kid Inside!

In this article a man, Dewitt Matthews, stops at Wheaton, MD gas station with his 5 year old child in the back seat. After putting gas in his car Matthews goes inside to pay, thinking he locked his car where is son stayed. When Matthews returns he notices his car has been hijacked with his child inside. The security cameras at the gas station captured Matthews complete breakdown and panic attack after realizing this tragic event. Matthews hurried back inside and called out to call 911. The man guilty of this crime is regular customer, Christian Arias. While Matthews was inside after he paid he looked down the refreshment aisle, Arias arrived at the gas station on a motorized scooter. Arias parked the scooter, snuck behind the gas pump, and proceeded to get inside Matthew's car and drove away. Surveillance camera's showed Arias casually walking back to the crime scene only 7 minutes after hijacking Matthew's car. Bystanders noticed Arias and surrounded him until the police arrived. At the police station Arias acted as if nothing happen, but later informed police where the car and child were. The car was found parked across the street from the gas station with Matthew's 5 year old son unharmed and sobbing in the back seat. Police state that Arias smelled strongly of alcohol and blew a .14 BAC. Arias also has a record of hijackings. If convicted to the full extinct of the law Arias will be put behind bars till his 88th birthday.

This is an issue that is dealt with all around the world. This type of issue affects people individually and globally. The circumstances cause people to keep their eyes open and be more cautious of their surroundings.
