Miranda Barbour, a 19 year old resident of Pennsylvania, was interviewed by the Daily item in Sunbury, Pa. in reference to her claim that she killed more than twenty people and did so by using the classified advertising site known as Craigslist. Barbour, alongside her husbandElytte, is awaiting trial for the murder of 42 year old Troy LaFerrara in November, 2013. LaFerrara answered an ad on Craigslist that Barbour had posted proposing companionship for monetary payment. As Barbour claims, she then, in the front seat of her car, stabbed LaFerrara to death as her husband grasped a cord around his neck. For this murder charge, Barbour is possibly facing the death penalty. Now, Barbour claims to in the past six years have killed more than twenty other people in similar circumstances. She claims that these killings have taken place in the following states: Alaska, Texas, North Carolina and California. Allegedly, Barbour is also claiming that the motive for her starting this homicidal behavior at the age of thirteen was tightly linked to the occurrence of her joining a satanic cult at that very age. Barbour is also claiming that her husband only assisted her in the November, 2013 killing of LaFerrara and did not participate in any of the others. Elytte Barbour, who married his wife only three weeks prior to this killing in North Carolina, said that “They committed the crime because they wanted to kill someone together.” His wife followed up, in concerns with her other killings, by saying “I feel it is time to get all of this out,” and concluding with “I don’t care if people believe me. I just want to get it out.” Both Barbour and her husband are undergoing recommended psychiatric evaluations. The FBI and the law enforcement officials in the effected states are at work to test the validity of Barbour’s claims.
