Project to Improve Intellect of Poor Children Led to Better Health, Too,
Research Finds
Summary:
In this life, a
lot of people are looking for good health and good treatments that help them to
stay health in their life. Some of these treatments are effective and other is
not very effective for the people. As we know that the older we got the more
advantage to get some disuses like blood pressure and other kinds. Also, the
level that we live on is playing a big role in this thing. For example, the
poor people don’t have the ability to get a good treatment these days.
According to the Article “Project to Improve Intellect of Poor Children
Led to Better Health, Too, Research Finds” by Sabrina Tavernise, says that some
researchers from North Carolina back in the 1972, made some studies to two
babies in poor group families. One of the babies get care by them include food,
games and other stimulating activities, while the other baby did not get ant
care of them. After almost 45 years the results find out that the baby who get
the full care get bad health with lower rates of blood pressure, obesity and a
bad rate of cholesterol. Some of professors like James Heckman of University of
Chicago says that this results is not that fully right because the study was
made for small group of people and that may not have the same effects for other
group of peoples. Finally, the cost of this project was about $16,000 per child
in 2010 and that led to others that analyze how that project compare to the
costs of medical care.
Analyze:
What we all want is to be as
health as we can so we live longer with out any diseases. I believe it is not
possible because even we go in this life even we discover some new things to
us. I think that the projects or study that made by the researchers in North
Carolina is not 100% right because of many reasons one is that they made this
study for few people. Second, I think that ever person has different health
from other person. For example, I can be allergic to something, so that may
cause me some damage in my health even some treatment or care may not work for
that. Thus, I think the treatment is not the way to kill or fight disuse.
