Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan has verbally attacked Israel yet again. He continuously talks about the their country which is his ally (Iran) and they keep trying to get his forgiveness  He attacks them because of the deaths of "nine men who attack IDF commandos boarding a Turkish-owned vessel" who were trying to breach Israel's maritime blockade. They have offered to express regret to the families of the people who died and pay compensation. They do refuse to apologize, but there is a small difference between regret and an apology. But, instead of Erdogan accepting the offer he continues to down them and talk about Islamophobia. He doesn't talk about the things that he did to them just talks about them for the things they did. Israeli government has show that they are trying but Erdogan is not. But, Israeli refuses to go more then half way to make things right and Erdogan refuses to compromise. As Erdogan keeps attacking Iran, Israel is teaming up with surrounding countries and are setting up for a nuclear arsenal.

“February 6^th is the World Day of rejecting female genital mutilation...”  Also known as FGM, the mutilation of female genitals has been a tradition in the majority of African and many other countries. According to this article every 15 seconds a girl undergoes FGM, but now it is a crime that is still being committed. This is practiced all over the world and is dangerous to females. Females can often bleed out and, or go into shock; and even if they don’t die or go into shock they can become sterile, have painful intercourse, and chronic inflammation. Since FGM is done with or without a physician there can be multiple complications. There are often unsterile utensils used and yet is not stated as a religious practice, just a tradition. It has been stated that it is just a habit, a horrible habit, yet the ratio in Egypt is 98%. In Egypt there is not enough awareness so there for it is hard to control. Therefore there are still places that practice, even though it is a crime. There are consequences to this though; in Egypt there is a minimum of three months and a maximum of two years, and a fine of no less than 1000 and no more than 5000 L.E for the one who performed it.

Female genital mutilation is often a traumatic experience for the female. She could have psychological problems and it is most likely forced on her. For these reasons it is now illegal worldwide.

Blog 1: Crimes Against Humanily

The United States has always been in war somewhere it seems.  The news always covers every solider that dies, but they fail to cover the children those soldiers killed before dying. This article covers them. Innocent children sitting in their living room or walking down the street are being killed by Unites States drones, an unmanned aircraft or ship that can be operated by without human control. These children like mentioned in the article, “are no different than our own”. They are 3 and 4 year olds with their siblings just being children and being killed. The sad part is these soldiers know that children are being killed. They know that they are taking lives before they are being lived.

This article opened my eyes. While Barrack Obama has promised a change and has promised our troops to be home sooner than Bush, he has also caused more damage. In four years Obama has killed nearly four times the children bush did in six years. He has done great things in America, but this country cannot survive alone. We cannot be the only country in the world, yet we seem to feel we run the world. Killing children is something that no one should have to support. Not only in one country but in multiple ones, “No parent should have to bury their child” is what millions of people said on December 14th when Sandy Hook elementary was attacked by one of our own. While at the same time our very own President is ordering children to be killed in other countries for a war they are partially unaware of.

I have chosen Crime as a subject for my Blog. I think that there is a lot of crime around the world and such a wide variety of crimes that people do not get to see on the daily biases. I will more that likely be focusing on family and children crimes. Since my major is HDF I think I should study the various things children around the world are going through.
